There are many ways to classify freezers, but below we will only classify them based on the cooling method of the chiller itself. Divided into air-cooled refrigerators and water-cooled refrigerators.

It is easy to understand that air cooling means using a fan to cool the cooling part of the chiller, as shown in the figure on the right. There is a fan on the upper part of the chiller that blows upwards. This type of chiller has high noise and requires good ventilation, and is usually placed outdoors; Water cooling means that there is circulating water to cool the chiller, as shown in the figure below. This type of chiller has a relatively small volume and low noise, making it easy to operate and maintain indoors. However, it must be used in conjunction with a cooling tower and circulating water pump.

The classification of chiller equipment models and the various names on the market may seem complex, so below are some commonly used chiller equipment:

1. Classified by condenser cooling method: air-cooled, water-cooled

2. Classified by compressor structure: screw type, piston type, vortex type, centrifugal type

3. Classified by machine type: box type, rack type

4. Classified by chilled water outlet temperature: standard air conditioning type (above 0 ℃), low-temperature cryogenic type (below 0 ℃)

5. Classified by cooling medium (refrigerant): saltwater, ethylene glycol, corrosion-resistant

In addition, according to the principle of refrigeration, they are classified as compression type and absorption type; Classified by evaporator structure type: full liquid type
